  • We specialise in treating chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sciatica, joint pain (hip, knee, shoulder), nerve pain (neuropathy), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), post-surgical pain and fibromyalgia.

  • To give you the best pain management, we need to see your relevant medical history.

    You can provide this by doing one of the following:

    - Ask your GP practice to provide you with a printed summary of your medical record.

    - Ask your GP practice to send a referral letter to York Pain Group.

    - Ask your GP practice to give you detailed access to your record on the NHS app.

  • Please bring the following to your consultation:

    - A list of your current medications

    - Referral letter or Medical Summary

    - Any recent scan or imaging reports (MRI, CT, X-ray)

    - Your insurance details (if applicable)

    - Wear loose-fitting clothing as this is helpful for physical examination.

  • We offer a wide range of treatments including spinal injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency denervation, medications and advanced pain management plans tailored to each patient. We also provide multidisciplinary support including physiotherapy.

  • Yes, we work with most major health insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, WPA, Cigna and Vitality.

  • Your initial appointment includes a detailed assessment of your pain, review of any scans or test results, and creation of a personalised treatment plan. We take time to listen, explain all your options, and answer any questions you may have.

  • If you are insured, the cost is usually covered by your insurer. If you are self funding, the initial consultation is £350. Specific treatment prices vary according to treatment type. A detailed, no obligation quote is always provided in advance.

  • All treatments we offer are supported by clinical research. Our consultants are trusted, NHS-trained specialists with extensive experience in both interventional and holistic pain management.
